St Brynach's Church, Llanfrynach, is considered to date from the C12th to C13th, with windows of C16th/C17th and C20th date.  Originally St Brynach’s was the parish church, but it was largely abandoned in the mid nineteenth century.  As such it remains medieval in character.

The interior is rendered and limewashed except where fragments of wall painting survive.  There are uncertain traces of painting, presumably medieval, in the chancel and on the north pier responds of the chancel arch.  There is no clear design but possibly there were stencilled clusters of dots.
