Plas Telford is the new Extra Care Scheme to provide housing for the over 55s. It is to be managed by the Clwyd Alyn Housing Association. The scheme has been contracted to Wates Ltd. and demolition of the existing Llys Madoc home for the elderly began in June 2010, and is expected to be completed in Autumn 2011. Plas Telford will provide 52 flats, on-site staff and amenities such as a restaurant, laundry, guest facilities, gardens, library and cafe. It is located next to the Plas Madoc Leisure Centre.
