Opened in 1910, the Aberaman Workmen's Hall & Institute remained in use for much of the twentieth century. At the time of opening it contained two billiards rooms, two games rooms, committee rooms, library and reading rooms, lecture hall, a large auditorium (capacity 1,800), and swimming baths in the basement. Destroyed by fire on 30 October 1994.
