DisgrifiadOpened in 1901, the Abergwynfi and Blaengwynfi Workmen's Hall provided a library and reading room, public hall, games rooms, and other features typical of workmen's institutes of this period. A cinema was operated here prior to the First World War and remained in operation for much of the twentieth century. Initially this was managed by H. Anderson & Co and provided seating capacity for 800 people. By the interwar years, the cinema was being operated by the workmen with a reduced capacity of 448 seats. Still in use as a public library and social club today.
