Troedrhiwgwair Miners Welfare Hall opened in 1934 as a branch of the Tredegar Workmen's Institute for residents living in the hamlet of Troedrhiwgwair. With the dramatic decline of the village in the post-war period, the Hall fell into disuse and was demolished along with many of the houses in the late-1970s and 1980s.
