Fforestfach Welfare Hall & Institute, situated on Ravenhill Road, opened on 28 March 1928 with assistance from the Miners' Welfare Fund. From 1939 until 1976, a cinema operated in the public hall. The building was used for dances and other public entertainment including bingo. The building is now used as a social club.
