DisgrifiadLewistown and Pontyrawel Welfare Institute was constructed after the Second World War and provided community facilities typical of welfare halls and institutes of this period including a public hall. Extant for much of the post-war period, the building was eventually demolished at the end of the twentieth century and the site is now occupied by a modern housing estate.
