Capel Llanceinwyraf ('the chapel of the virgin') is thought to have been located in this field, to the immediate north of Danycapel (NPRN 17284) farm. The site was visited by RCAHMW staff in 1913 when it was noted that stone foundations were occasionally encountered during ploughing. It was also noted that there were two other small chapels in the vicinity although their names and locations had dropped out of rememberance.
