The Wheatsheaf Presbyterian Chapel was built in 1827, but not on this site as it is not shown on the OS 1/2500 1st Edition (c.1875). The chapel on this site was built in 1881 in the Simple Round-Headed style with a long wall entry plan. The Wheatsheaf was demolished in the mid twentieth century.
