This collection comprises over 600 original (mainly pencil, ink, and watercolour) drawings and prints, produced by Falcon D. Hildred. They record, primarily, the industrial landscape of Blaenau Ffestiniog, and industrial towns in Wales and England. Other work includes Hildred's student and early work, design commissions, Scottish landscapes, and scenes from holidays. Also included are Hildred's research files relating to Blaenau Ffestiniog; two books; index cards pertaining to each drawing (or set of drawings); a compiled list of work; and a collection slides relating to his 1987 Cardiff exhibition.

Falcon Hildred's research files relating to his work on Blaenau Ffestiniog. The four files, which record his 'design involvement in the community' since his arrival there on 29th October 1969, contain explanatory texts, minutes of meetings, correspondence, newspaper articles, photographic images, and drawings.

Hildred's index cards relating to each drawing (or set of drawings), and a compiled list of work transferred to the archive. Each index card contains text details, and a (small) digital image, of the drawing/s.
