Anchor Independent Meeting House is described in the Religious Census of 1851 (Vol 2 p.13) as built in 1831 and with 80 Free sittings and 47 Other sittings. It is also described as 'not a separate building', suggesting that it was a meeting room in a building otherwise used as a house or other function. The exact location of the meeting house is not known beyond its description as 'Esgargeilog'. It was possibly superseded by Tabernacle Independent Chapel (NPRN 12215) in 1895.
