DescriptionBethel Independent Chapel was built in the early nineteenth century and rebuilt/enlarged in 1889. The present rectangular building with a characteristic fully-hipped roof seems to date from the early nineteenth century. Its windows are in the in the Simple Round-Headed style with two in each wall except on the uphill side where there is a porch, the later probably dating from 1889. All the outside walls are rendered and there is a single-storey Sunday School and chapel house on the downhill side, both probably added in 1889. The flat plain ceiling and three-sided gallery may be early nineteenth century but the pews and platform pulpit and set fawr are likely to be from 1889.
