Description
St John's Church was located on the west side of Giant's Grave Road. It is recorded that a Mission Church dedicated to St. John the Baptist was erected at Giant's Grave in 1878. It was built at a cost of £601, constructed in stone, in the Gothic style, and consisted of chancel, nave, western porch and a turret containing one bell; there are 212 sittings.
By mid-2013 the church was closed and had been proposed for redevelopment as a dwelling.
