Christchurch Independent Chapel was built in 1905. It is built in the Simple Gothic style with a long-wall entry plan. By 2000 the main chapel had been demolished and the site redeveloped for flats. The congregation now meet in the old school room on the opposite side of the road. This building was in fact the original chapel and used as the school room after construction of the much larger chapel since demolished.
