Description
1. A large semi-circular enclosure formed by bank and outer ditch. Possibly settlement of "A and E Waltervilla". Possibly contemporary with Walterston Ringwork.
2. The N arc of a an embanked and formerly ditched enclosure, c.50m internal diameter.
A 12th c. sherd was found stratified below the bank, whilst mortared stone foundations, associated with a 13th c. sherd, have been observed within.
A larger and slighter enclosure loops round c.110m to the N.
Classified as a castle by the RCAHMW.
