Description
Church mainly C14, with C16 alterations, mostly to the tower. Restored 1860. Cruciform plan with crossing tower. Stone rubble walls with batter at the base instead of buttresses. C19 moulded cornice to the nave and transepts. Slate roof behind coped gables. Windows in nave, transept, and chancel are mainly 2- and 3-light, with a further 5- light window in the in the nave. All exterior doors are from 1860, with ornate strap hinges. The chancel contains 2 C14 effigies, one of a small child, the other of Payn Turberville. The crossing, S transept and chancel each have flagged floors and memorial slabs. The octagonal font is from the C19, and the modern pulpit was installed in 1942.
