A small, early seventeenth-century (probably 1634) manor house, Plas-yn-rhiw possibly has a medieval core. The house was extended to the north east probably in the eighteenth century and in the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century another wing was added on the north west, the roof was raised and a verandah was added along the front. The resulting three-storey house, with a low-pitched slate roof, has a symmetrical, Georgian appearance. The stucco render has been removed to reveal the stone walls.
