Description
Natural cave in south facing hillside. The Chartist Cave occupation. Used for storing weapons in summer 1839 for uprising in November 1839. Plaque dedication by Tredegar Town Council erected in 1989. Cave dimensions include an arched roof 10m wide, 10m deep and 3m high, with 2 smaller caves leading off inside. The ground cover was bracken at the time of survey. B. Britton and G.
