2. Park and gardens are believed to be contemporary with Halkyn Castle, c.1824-27, and feature a large area of informal woodland and a small area of formal terraced garden with one small ornamental walled garden. Source: Cadw Register of Parks and Gardens in Wales. 2003.12.18/RCAHMW/SLE

3. This garden is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Flintshire IX, sheet 6 (1899).
