Event and Historical Information:
The LOTTIE was a 7nt Bristol Channel pilot cutter owned by W H Russell of Cardiff. On 15 October 1886, the pilot cutter was been seeking pilotage work when the weather deteriorated into a west-northwesterly force 11. Seeking shelter, the LOTTIE was driven ashore in Sully Sound, behind Sully Island.
