Description
A well-preserved limekiln and quarry with associated earthworks. The kiln is of a Wye Valley type, from the early 19th century and consists of a central pot with two front-facing drawing arches. It is roughly 4m high and 6.5m long, built into the bank to the south of the quarry. There are small waste tips in front of the kiln and a graded ramp leads up to the charging platform, running parallel with the sunken track into the quarry.
