Description
Dimensions: 87m (N-S) by 57m (0.4ha) on level enclosed land. The enclosure is defined on the W by an arcuate bank 7m wide and 1.3m high with an external ditch 7m wide and 1m deep, destroyed on the the N and SW. The bank has been cut through to a depth of 1m roughly mid way along it, revealing its lower structure to be slabs at right angles to the bank alignment.
The straight E side is defended by a scarp mutilated towards the N but on the SE falling into a vast ditch about 15m wide and 4.5m deep, probably a natural feature (limestone solution?).
