Description
1) A roughly circular stony platform 60ft in diameter. Large stones act as a kerb in places and especially on the East form a marked rim or terrace 1ft high. A small modern cairn lies a little W of the centre. The structure seems undisturbed. Rebuilt on a larger scale as a C-shaped shelter for walkers prior to december 1981. It has begun to collapse with many rocks faling inwards and the structure may come to resemble a cairn once more.
Description based on GAT SMR record.

2) It is shown on the 1st Edn OS mapping. The structure of the shelter is still intact, standing at up to 1m high. On the eastern side of the shelter, there are the vestigal remains of a cairn. It is very low and denuded, and there is no kerb left.
