Site Description
Castell Flemish hillfort is an oval, rather pear-shaped, ditched, ramparted and counterscarped enclosure, about 90m north-south by 84m, occupying the summit of a knoll, its outer works truncated about its blunt apex on the north side, having a probable south-west facing entrance, with traces of possible additional works without. APs show an unparched ring within the ramparts, interupted at the entrance, presumably representing a band of quarry-ditching.
