Site Description
NAR SN44SE3
A ditched subrectangular mound, formed from the summit of an abrupt ridge above the Teifi gorge, thought to represent a medieval castle motte: the mound, its summit about 20m NNW-SSE by at least 28m, rises up to 9.0m above steep natural scarps on the north, defined elsewhere by a 3.0m wide ditch, obscurred by the churchyard to the west: cists containing burials were encountered during the contruction of the mauseleum set over the western part of the mound area.
