Site Description
Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds, owners of the Dowlais Ironworks (nprn 34084) in Merthyr Tydfil, moved their main production site to Cardiff for more convenient sea access by building a new steelworks close to Cardiff Docks at East Moors in 1890; the works closed in 1978 and the site has since been demolished and partly redeveloped.
