Site Description

Talybont Reservoir is retained by Talybont Dam (nprn 308299) and was officially opened 29 June 1939. It was built to supply Newport with water. The reservoir is some 3.3km long, has a surface area of 129.5 ha and a capacity of 2567 million gallons.
