Site Description
The whole of the town of Blaenavon still reflects its origins in the iron industry. As one approaches the ironworks to the NW this impression intensifies with the truck-shop surviving on the SE side of North Road ironworks. On the ironworks site itself the conserved workers' housing of Stack Square survive on the SE side.
(Site entry by S.R.Hughes for Buildings of Gwent, John Newman, 2000)
