1790 embattled gothic castle. Built by William Jones of clytha park."For the purpose of releiving a mind sincerely afflicted by the loss of a most excellent wife".

Castellated folly of rendered rubble stone with Bath stone dressings. L-plan design. Battlemented screen walls connect NW 2-storey square tower with SW and NE 2-storey round towers. One of the outstanding C18 follies of Wales.
