Description
Late Georgian structure: 3-storeys, 3-window front to Eastgate Street and 2-window to Pier Street with overall cornice and panelled frieze. A steep slate roof, boarded eaves and rendered chimney stacks. The windows are horned sash; 2-storey bay with paired windows to the right of Pier Street. Bowed Doric porch to number 37 with fluted columns, panelled reveals, reeded doorcase, petal traceried fanlight and 6-panel door. The interior was destroyed by a fire in 1815, but the entrance hall to number 37 retains acanthus brackets to segmental arch leading to stairwell.
