Site of World War Two searchlight battery. Aerial photographs taken during parched conditions on 31 July 2006 (Image refs: AP_2006_3953 to 3956) show parched lines of buried walls alongisde the battery, presumably the buried foundations of the wartime structure rather than medieval walls associated with the adjacent moated site and motte.
