Description
On the Brymbo and Minera Branch of the North Wales Mineral Railway (nprn 408705), opened in 1847, a rope-worked incline, or brake, known as Wheatsheaf Incline, climbed the eastern slope of Gwersyllt Hill from Wheatsheaf Sidings. It was single tracked up to a passing loop and twin tracked above with a common rail. The line rose some 35m in approximately 600m.
