Description
War memorial by L. F. Roslyn, following the style of Lutyens? Whitehall Cenotaph in London, but with the addition of bronze reliefs. Constructed in Cornish granite, it was unveiled on 15 September 1923. The tomb chest has inscriptions on its broad sides and bronze wreaths on the ends. There are bronze plates recording the names of the fallen in the First World War and added tablets on narrow sides of the base record the names of the fallen in the Second World War and Falklands, 1982; broad sides have Welsh and English inscriptions in bronze lettering.
