This gable-entry chapel was built in 1862 and is depicted on OS Boundary Remark book 3777A from 1868 and shown as a Wesleyan chapel on the first edition 25" OS map from 1871. It appears that it was not in use for very long as a new chapel was built at Bethlehem (NPRN 8183) further down the hill. The chapel was subsequently converted into the two residential properties that remain.
