Description
Caerau Workmen's Institute was a branch of North's Memorial Hall & Institute (Maesteg) and opened in two stages: the first part of the building in 1904 and the second in 1925. Containing a public hall, library and reading room, and other features typical of miners' institutes of this period, the building survived for much of the twentieth century until it was gutted by fire in July 1984. Now demolished.
