Constructed in modernist style in the late-1920s, Revolven Workmen's Hall provided a cinema and public hall (capacity 750), library and reading room, billiards hall, committee rooms, and other features typical of such buildings in this period. For much of the twentieth century, the Hall was known as a cinema however in more recent times it has been used principally as a social club. The bar dates from the 1960s.
