Description

Loughor Welfare Hall opened on 27 October 1934 at a cost of £7,500. The bulk of this sum was met through a grant from the Miners' Welfare Fund totalling £5,050. Built on the site of the former National School, the building provided a public hall which was largely used for public meetings, dancing, and theatre performances. In 1992 the Hall was transferred to Llwchwr Town Council and continues to be run as a community venue.
