Description
Constructed on the site of two houses in Argoed High Street, the Welfare Hall dated from around the time of the First World War and provided facilities typical of workmen's institutes of this period particularly a public hall. Despite the closure of the local pit, the Llanover Colliery, in the 1930s, the Hall has survived.
