DescriptionConstructed in 1920, Crumlin Workmen's Club and Institute occupies a narrow, triangular strip of land at the junction of Commercial Road and Mining School Hill. Providing facilities typical of institutes in this period, it contained a billiards hall, public hall, and reading rooms. With the closure of the local colliery, Crumlin Navigation, in 1967, the club and institute went into decline and is today used as a day centre.
