Description
Bryncethin Memorial Hall opened on Sunday 29 March 1925 and cost £3,800 to construct. The costs were partly met through money raised from a Memorial Fund established in January 1919 (£1,000 total) and a grant from the Miners' Welfare Fund of £1,500. The hall had a capacity of 450. Official unveiling was carried out by Finlay A. Gibson, the secretary of the South Wales Coal Owners' Association. The hall survives and remains in use as a community centre.
