Description
The Trawsfynydd war memorial lies on a hilltop above, and to the west of, the village.
The monument is a Celtic wheel cross in rusticated granite on a chamfered, two tired pedestal with a two-stepped base. The memorial is surrounded by gated iron railings and is mounted on a raised platform approached by steps on the east. The polished east faces of the pedestal are inscribed with the names of the fallen of the First World War, while the west face of the upper tier is inscribed with the names of those who fell in the Second World War.
The monument was originally located at the Seion Chapel but was moved because of traffic damage.
