St Mary's church is located on the west side of Nixonville (B4285). It was built in 1969-70 to designs of architects F.R.Bates, Son & Price. It is square with a monopitch roof on a steel frame, clerestory lighting above yellow brick walls. Stained glass in four panels at the entrance end was designed by John Edwards and made by Celtic Studios in 1970.
