Llynnau Mymbyr are two joined lakes situated in Dyffryn Mymbyr. During the nineteenth century, after the construction of Thomas Telford's Post road, the location became popular with anglers and landscape artists on the Picturesque Tour. The view across the lakes towards Snowdon, Y Lliwedd and Cardnedd Ugain has become an iconic view for artists and photographers to capture.
