Descriptiont is described in the Caernarvonshire Inventory, Vol. II, 219 (1324). Carnedd Wen, at 1100ft above OD. In 1920 the base of a circular mound 45ft in diameter was still traceable; a modern track has now cut through the upper side leaving only a small shapeless heap of stones. Condition: almost destroyed. OAN site visit 2008. The cairn remains could not be located, although there is stone upcast adjacent to a nearby concrete stanchion base that may be associated with disturbed cairn material (NPRN 505965). Almost certainly badly denuded by the construction of the radio station at this location.
