Originally part of the initial promenade development at the start of the 19th century. The buildings are 4 storeys high except for the Pier Street elevation which is 3 storeys high with basement. The roofs are of slate and have rubble chimney stack with boxed eaves. The windows are horned sashes and bay windows.
