DescriptionCarmel Welsh Independent Chapel was built in 1827/8. The chapel was rebuilt/enlarged in 1851/2 and further modified in 1872 and 1882. The present buiding largely dates from 1882, and it in the simple round-headed style, with a gable-entry plan. The chapel is rendered and whitewashed, with partial slating to the side elevations and a slate roof. The front gable has a central arched door, with two arched lights above, and flanked by two long narrow arched windows. The side elevations have tall paned arched windows.
