Pisgah Independent Chapel was built in 1821 by builder J. Rowlands of Penbrynhafoty. The chapel was rebuilt/modified four times, in 1851, 1861 1877 and 1905. The present chapel, built in the Romanesque style of the short-wall entry type, is dated as mid-nineteenth century.
