DescriptionSalem Methodist Chapel was built in 1812, rebuilt in 1844 and altered in 1875. The building style is Vernaclar with a long-wall entry plan. By 1998 the chapel was reported as derelict and by 2004 under conversion into a house. The house and vestry were also under reconstruction in 2004. The building is now Grade 2 listed as an example of a mid-nineteenth century rural chapel.
