Brynhyfryd Methodist Chapel was built in 1847 and in 1885 partially rebuilt, in the Sub-Classical style with a gable entry plan. A schoolroom was also added in 1885. The chapel closed in 1994 and in 1998 remained disused. Brynhyfryd is Grade 2 Listed for its special interest in incorporating a nonconformist chapel and a pair of houses within a single building on a steep site.
