Description

This church, probably the Iron Mission Room or ?East Northop Iron Church? referred to in 1911, is located on the south side of the B5125 in the village of Northop Hall. It was built after 1876 but before 1898 when it appears on the Ordnance Survey Second Edition 25-inch map. As this building became increasingly unsuitable, it gave way to a new church built on the opposite side of the road, dedicated to St Mary, built in 1910-12 (NPRN 420509). The current status of the original church is unknown though a building of different plan occupies its site, shown as a 'Hall' on modern mapping.
